The Members of AISI Support the Vocational Industry Education

Jakarta- The members of Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI) support the government in developing vocational education programs for vocational school that link and match between education and industry. This support is marked by the participation of two of Indonesia's largest motorcycle sole agents which are PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) and PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) in the Launch of Vocational Industry Education by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo.

President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo officially launched this program accompanied by Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Education and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, and West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan. This event was held at PT Astra Otoparts Tbk. Center Cikarang, Bekasi, on Friday (27/7). West Java is the third province decided by the government in the implementation of this vocational industry education. Previously, the launches of this vocational education program have been conducted separately in East Java, Central Java, and Yogyakarta.

As an organization that oversees the motorcycle industry in Indonesia, AISI supports the Government's efforts in preparing human resources that have competence that is reliable and ready to work in accordance with industry needs. In this event, 2 members of AISI signed cooperation with vocational schools in West Java which would become their coached schools. This time, AHM cooperates with 20 vocational schools in West Java, meanwhile YIMM also cooperates with 7 vocational schools in West Java.

In addition to vocational schools cooperation, 2 sole agents under the auspices of AISI also provide assistance to the vocational schools that just become the coached schools. This time, YIMM provides assistance in the form of 7 units of motorcycles for 7 vocational schools. Meanwhile, AHM also provides assistance in the form of 20 units of Honda motorcycles and special tools of workshop for 20 vocational schools.
